PARALLEL HALLUCINATIONS - VR ASC EXPERIENCE

'Parallel Hallucinations' is a VR project that looked in to recreating Altered States of Consciousness via immersive technology. The idea was that this could potentially be used as VR therapy, replacing the need for substances that may physically alter the neurological pathways of the users mind.

The experience was tested amongst a small group of 10 people. Afterwards they were given a set of questions to answer which also appeared in a similar experiment done using psilocybin. The results were very positive for the future prospects of such a form of therapy however more testing is needed. This will hopefully be done soon with a publication coming after a wider testing period has taken place.
